The functions of paper chemical auxiliaries

In order to meet the needs of some special uses of paper, various types of non-fibrous additives are often mixed in the pulp or paper. According to its use, it can be roughly divided into the following categories:

① Wet strength agent. To increase the wet strength of paper sheets.

② Dry strength agent. To improve the paper's dry strength (ring crush compression resistance and bursting strength).

③ Retention agent. To reduce the loss of fillers and fine fibers during the papermaking process.

④ Defoamer. To eliminate foam in the papermaking process. .

⑤ Water resistance agent. It is mainly used in paper with higher requirements for water resistance.
